Meeting Vassalboro Conservation Commission
Minutes of March 17, 2015

Discussion regarding the Alewives Restoration Project
Nate gave us an overview of the dam removal plan and the science behind the alewives restoration efforts .VCC offered to help host these meetings and promote them in town.
Dates have been set for public information sessions at the Vassalboro Grange
April 8, May 13, June 10, Sept. 9 and Oct. 7.
These meetings will be conducted by the Sebasticook River Land Trust , the Maine Dept of Inland Fish and Wildlife, and various other partners who have an interest in this Project.
A clean up day for our town trails was set for June 6th. There is always a need for volunteers to help with this work, clearing blow downs from winter, brush cutting, and replacing signage .
Next meeting: May 12th.
