Minutes of Cemetery committee meeting – Monday, September 14, via zoom

Present: David Jenney, Jody Kundreskas, Mary Sabins, Jane Auidi and Sue Haines

Report of cemetery work by Jody, David and a man from Winslow. They have worked in the Methodist and Baptist cemeteries. She does need more sand and will contact Gene. For next summer we discussed having a pile of sand at the town garage since it is close to the Methodist Cemetery.

Mary said that a town resident had come to her wanting to do voluteer work and she chose a continuation of Mike's work this summer, putting the cemetery data online. She has met with Mike and will continue work in the North Village Cem. Jane expressed interest in working in, perhaps, the Maple Grove Cem.

Briefly discussed signage, perhaps putting a sign in the front of the various sections of the North and

Cross Hill cemeteries. Ideally we would have corner markers as well. In the North, section A is the northernmost and they continue on south. Cross Hill, there is the so-called original area, then Annex 1 and 2 (which is where we are currently selling plots.

We had a rather quick discussion of money, as we were running out of time. We have $31,000, plus $2,000 in scholarship. From that there will be $4,000 for mowing. We could survey section J in the North and Jody needs blocks. This discussion will be continued next month.
