Town Cemetery committee meeting

Present: David Jenney, Mary Sabins, Mike Levesque, our intern, Jody Kundreskas and Sue Haines

We had a good discussion with Mike and Mary about his work for the summer, organizing cemetery data onto Pontem software. He is starting in the Cross Hill Cemetery in the oldest section, farthest south. The next section will be annex 1 and the current last section will be annex 2. He is finding a lot of Gardners! He is working from an old list but the graves are not listed in the order in which they are in the cemetery. He is finding the stones very easy to read.

He asked about the Friends cemetery as next as there are some organized records. However, Mary would also like to see two sections, A, I and H in the North Cemetery done, as section I is where she is currently allowing burials. Sue will show Mike the Friends records.

Other cemetery stone work: there are two stones in Cross Hill which Jody hopes she and David can work on/do this weekend. Otherwise she is working in the Methodist cemetery where there is lots to be done. Jody has ordered supplies, around $600.

Town meeting will be June 22 at 6:30 at the school. It will be in two rooms with chairs spaced 6 ft apart.
